Armenian Economic Association Virtual Seminars in November

Ella Sargsyan, a Ph.D. candidate at CERGE-EI, will present her job market paper titled "Potato to the Rescue: Home Production and Child Nutrition during Deep Economic Crises." The seminar will take place on Friday, November 17 at 7-8pm Yerevan time (4-5pm CET; 10-11am EST).

Armenian Economic Association 2023 Meetings CfP deadline extended to April 8

 Call for Papers: Armenian Economic Association 2023 Meetings

The 13th Annual Meetings of the Armenian Economic Association will be held on June 22-24, 2023. The Meetings will be held in a mixed format: The first day of the conference will be organized virtually, the second day will meet in-person at the American University of Armenia in Yerevan, and the third day will meet at the Armenian State University of Economics in Gyumri.

Papers in all areas of economics and finance are welcome. Both theoretical and empirical research papers are invited. Research addressing issues of growth and development in Armenia and the wider region are highly encouraged. For this year, submissions of papers in the area of labor economics are especially welcomed.

Confirmed keynote speakers: Fernando Broner (CREI, UPF, BSE), Ana Maria Herrera (University of Kentucky), Oleg Itskhoki (UCLA), Branko Milanovic (CUNY), Mehdi Raissi (IMF)

Submissions: Abstracts of less than 500 words can be submitted by completing the call for papers form by April 8; decisions by April 20. The conference is free with no cost to present and participate. In the submission form, please indicate whether you prefer to present in person in Armenia or to present virtually. Proposals for complete sessions are encouraged.

Best Paper Awards are made available for young scholars (Grigor Artzruni award) and for general interest papers (Armen Alchian award), as well as by the International Monetary Fund. Submission of completed papers in advance is required to be considered for the awards.

Travel grants: The Association will make available a limited number of travel grants especially for researchers based in Europe and the region. When completing the submission form, please indicate whether you are applying for a travel scholarship.
